Manuscript Appraisal
I’m entering my fourth year of manuscript appraisal. Sometimes people ask me: ‘Why would you as a writer be interested in working with other people’s writing?’ and ‘I know you get paid, but it isn’t very much … what’s in it for you?’
Well, we should start by looking at what an appraisal is, and what it isn’t.
